Chris Berry
Chris Berry founded Fortis IT Solutions in 2026, after more than 20 years in IT infrastructure. He is a Linux specialist who has spent his career running Windows and Linux estates for managed service providers, hosting companies and digital media teams.
His background started in the British Army, where he learned to plan for failure, work methodically under pressure and keep things running when it matters. He brought that discipline into the IT industry, from hosting platforms and data centre work to on-call escalation across multiple MSP client estates.
Throughout that time he saw the same pattern. Large organisations get redundancy, hardened baselines, tested backups and proper monitoring. Smaller businesses, whose operations depend on their servers just as much, are often left with whatever fits the budget. Chris started Fortis to close that gap.
